Netflix hasn’t launched in the UK yet but the battle of the streaming services has certainly has. Yesterday Netflix signed a deal with BBC Worldwide to stream BBC content and today Lovefilm signed a deal with Sony Pictures to have exclusive rights to stream movie content. The deal starts June 2012 and gives Lovefilm access to Sony’s recent movies as well as TV shows.
One worrying trend is that Netflix will have a selection of movies and Lovefilm may have a different selection so it means that you could be paying one of the companies a monthly subscription while missing out on the film you want as its on the other providers list. Enter Apple which offers both…
