Verizon FIOS announces Xbox Live TV plans

 

There has been lot of talk from Microsoft about TV on the Xbox 360 and today Verizon announced their plans for bringing FIOS to the Xbox 360. With their package FIOS customers will get 35Mbs internet, 192 digital TV channels and over 30,000 video on demand titles right in the Xbox 360.

Microsoft have been working on this for years and its great to see these features coming to the Xbox 360.  So US readers what do you think of this?

  1. Verizon FioS customers only get 26 channels on the XBOX 360 plus they have to pay $89.99/mo for it! This was a great idea to offer service through a gaming device but they should have waited a bit longer before making this service available to their customers. A co-worker at DISH had persuaded me to switch to DISH and I save on average $60 a year on programming and I now have award winning dual tuner receivers that controls two rooms at the same time.
