It looks like the Boxee Box is to get a USB TV tuner that will be able to receiver over the air HD TV signals. According to Gigaom.com the TV tuner will be part of a new major update to the Boxee box software (v1.5) that is going to rolled out over the next few weeks. In the new version there is a Live TV button but Gigaom wasn’t able to to find a USB tuner that worked with it. There are no indications whether this would be a US only feature or if it will be a worldwide roll out, the tuner will probably be a not work with encrypted content but should work with the free content and if Boxee were to come out with a DVB-T2 tuner for the UK it would be great for watching Freeview HD on.
