In what seems a strange move RIM could be looking to produce a Apple TV type device. Codenamed “BlackBerry Cyclone” the device is said to be a media hub with HDMI and wifi like the Apple TV and have Netfix and Youtube. Given that the Apple TV is still a niche product, Google TV hasn’t taken off yet and devices from people like Boxee I can’t see a BlackBerry TV device selling that well.
