Yesterday I interviewed Mark Pendergrast from the Windows Embedded team talking about their strategy for Window Media Center in Windows Embedded and while in the suite I took some video showing the Windows Media Center solutions they were running. All were running on Windows Embedded and ranged from hi-end Media Servers to entertainment devices, set top boxes and TVs with Media Center built in.

In the video you can see customised Media Center UI, Media Center running in a set top box, a TV with Media Center and some of the hardware on show.

You can here Mark explaining what we were looking at in the video and I will have a full interview with Mark on the podcast soon

  1. That is using the Kylo Browser for Internet & also lacks an actual Youtube App. It’d be nice if they port Windows Media Center onto the upcoming WinCE 7….since Win Phone 7 uses this….This would make getting native apps easier….and would prob make MCE Hardware a fair bit cheaper.
