When I fired up my Zune software this morning I was greeted with a request to upgrade the software to version 4.7
. The new version adds support for Windows Phone 7 which launches today plus is now officially supported around the world.
It actually took me a couple of goes to get the update installed, the first time it crashed at the end of the install but once it did install I got the new marketplace for Window Phone 7 (but no Zune HD apps). So I still will need to keep my special US account just for Zune HD apps
Also it seems there is no podcast store in the Zune software which is a real shame and I don’t see why being outside the US should block that feature. So while its great to be supported in the UK its I am disappointed that the Podcast marketplace features are disabled
