Microsoft Courier pictures and update

Engadget have some more details on Microsoft’s Courier “digital journal” tablet, there has been no official confirmation from Microsoft but Engadget have some new pictures and they have more details on what the device will be.

Apparently it will function as a “digital journal” and weigh around a pound and “and isn’t much bigger than a 5×7 photo when closed”. It’s going to be pen based and will be Microsoft’s e-book reader and come with its own OS running on Windows CE based (as is the Zune and Windows Phone 7 Series)

Once again we have another portable device that has a lot of potential but until we get official confirmation from Microsoft we can only speculate on what it could be, but looking at the picture it could be another device for my wish list

  1. This is exactly what I have been waiting for. Tablets are juts too bulky for in meeting note taking. The ipad concept had potential but with no inking it falls way short . I’ve looked at the pen digitiser products but this assuming it integrates nicely with outlook etc on you main PC is perfect. It nice to see Microsoft leading for a change

    Cant wait
