As soon as the Zune software update was released people are poking around the install files to see if there are any hints of future plans. The first hints come from Long Zheng and he says that an three extra USB devices in Zune.inf  point to there being a range of Zune phones. The Phone devices have Microsoft’s USB identification number so according to USB rules the devices must be manufactured by Microsoft, so this points to three Microsoft made (or at least branded) Zune phones

There are pointers to an international roll out with German and Italian language files added to the install, plus some Zune software features are removed when your local is not set to US, which wasn’t the case before the update.

So could there be a Zune phone in the works with worldwide support?

Also Simon May noticed that Zune.co.uk redirects to Zune.net/en-gb
