Welcome to The Digital Lifestyle.com Awards 2009 (the awards formally know as The Media Center Show Awards). This will be the 5th year of the awards and once again the aim is to highlight the great applications and services available for Windows Media Center and the ecosystem. This year I have simplified the categories and with the launch of MadeforMediaCenter.com I want to focus on 3rd party developers
So this years categories are:
Best free Windows Media Center application
Best commercial Windows Media Center application
Best media management application
Best integration tool
That last category is a little broad I know, its basically any application that helps integration Media Center with the rest of your systems. It could be a remote control app or a Windows Home Server addin, this is where you guys come in by nominating your favourite app now and I can add them to the voting pages. The same goes for the rest of the categories please nominate your favourites so I can add them to the vote page. Every year I ask for nominations but still get comments saying I missed off an application on the vote page so your input is important
Also I would like to have the free apps available in the app store so it would be great if developers would add them if they haven’t already, I am opening up the nominations to all members via the forums. Nominations close December 10th and the vote page will be be up shortly after that.
