Today Disney have announced that US customers can now connect Disney Movies Anywhere digital locker accounts with Microsoft Movies & TV and Amazon Video accounts. So customers will be able to watch Disney movies on Amazon apps & devices, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Movies & TV service on Windows and Xbox One (it already work on iTunes and Google Play). It would be a win for Movies & TV if buying a physical or digital Disney movie a copy of a movie then shows up in your Movies & TV app. I gave it a try with my account and it doesn’t seem like the UK is supported at the moment.

  1. “It would be a win for Movies & TV if buying a physical or digital Disney movie a copy of a movie then shows up in your Movies & TV app”
That is exactly how it works if you’re in the US. You can’t buy direct from Disney so you purchase through Movies & TV which then creates the digital vault copy. 🙂
Why is this US only? When will things move forward in the digital world? 🙁

    1. I dont think its a specific “Movies & Telly” issue… I dont think Disney Movies Anywhere is available outside the US anywhere (unless i am getting it mixed up with something else…..

Still doesnt answer the question – why US only though….!

      1. should have checked my facts before writing…. Ignore what i said above 😉 But what i did find out is that at the moment if you link your Disney Movies Anywhere account to an external account (Google Play, Movies & TV, Amazon (& iTunes)) you get Monsters Inc for free… This is worth doing for no other reason to see Monsters Inc again!

The process for linking accounts is easy even if what happens to your movies if you unlink seems clear as mud!
