Microsoft have today announced a smartphone companion app for Windows 10 and that they are bringing Cortana to iOS and Android. The companion app works with Windows Phone, Android and iOS and is designed to enable integration of the phone to Windows 10, for example it helps setting up OneDrive on your iOS. Microsoft are also bringing Cortana to iOS and Android via new apps and the companion app will help get Cortana setup on your phone. It looks like Cortana on Android and iOS will be similar to the Windows version but without some of the OS integration features. Cortana for Android will be available at the end of June and for iOS later this year.

In the post Microsoft also say that there will be updated Xbox Music apps for Android and iPhone that will playback music stored on your OneDrive for free, currently the iOS and Android Xbox Music apps only work if you have an Xbox Music pass subscriptions.
