GoodPlayer iOS video player adds Apple Watch support

Good Player on an iPad

GoodPlayer the versatile media player app for iOS has been updated adding support for the Apple Watch. This doesn’t mean that you will be watching your favorite movies on the watch but it does display the now playing information on the watch. Also added to the app are automatic subtitle downloads from SMB or FTP servers.

GoodPlayer is a great video player that will play a wide range of video formats including MKV and WTV files. The app costs £2.29 from the iTunes Store.

What’s New in Version 9.9

1 Apple Watch supported. The playing item title will show on the Apple Watch
2 SMB and FTP streaming playback supports downloading subtitle automatically. For example, if the played media named “filename.avi”, then the app will try to download “filename.srt”, “filename.eng.srt”, “filename.chs.srt” and “filename.eng&chs.srt” subtile files from the SMB and FTP server automatically
