Today the Emby / Media Browser team have released a brand new version of their Windows Phone app. The app has big improvements to the streaming features by reducing the need for transcoding which means a better experience on the mobile app and less load on your server. The update also has bug fixes including a fix for audio playback issue.

This will be the last release under the name of Media Browser as the platform is now renamed Emby. The next release will include Offline support as well as new name. The app costs £2.99 from the Windows Phone Store and is part of a great media streaming system.

– Big improvements for video streaming, better for the app and the server

– Allow old servers to be deleted from the list of servers

– Added default image to search results
