The Windows Phone version of VLC the brilliant media player has been updated bringing some playback improvements. The new build has speed improvements when playing songs, playback fixes, improvements when playing back 720p video files on high end devices. There is a new hold options when playback music and support for local/embedded album art.
There is also a new dark theme and new icons for the app which look great. The app is free from the Windows Phone Store.
