Sonos on Android

Yesterday Sonos announced that they had removed the need to have a Sonos Bridge or wired network connection as part of your Sonos setup and they have just updated the iOS and Android apps to take advantage of the change.

The iPad and iPhone versions has been updated to version 5.1 and no longer needs a Bridge to work plus there are “several networking and security enhancements”. The Android version has the same update and also includes the security and network enhancements.

The Android app can be found in the Google Play Store and the iOS app in the iTunes Store, now we just need a Windows Phone version.
