On our podcast we oftern talk about set top boxes and the Roku devices come up frequently as they are low cost and very flexible. So I was pleased to see that Roku have released remote control apps for both Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone. The app will automatically detect Roku players on your local network and you can view all your Roku channels and remote control your set top box via an on-screen remote control. It’s a universal app and the Windows Phone version has the same features as the Windows 8 edition, it can also be used as a remote control, view channels and will automatically detect devices on your network.
If you have a Roku devices it’s well worth grabbing the apps.
