Over the weekend the release version of XBMC 13 (Gotham) was made available and the OpenELEC team have announced the release version of OpenELEC 4. OpenELEC is an embedded version of XBMC and version 4.0 included the release version of XBMC 13 as well as updated drivers and a new kernel.

XBMC 13 is a big step forward from version 12 and OpenELEC is a great way of getting started with XBMC, with OpenELEC it took me about 10 minutes to get XBMC up and running on my Raspberry Pi. There are builds for Android, Raspberry Pi, Intel and AMD systems.
