aTV Flash (Back) 2.2 released

aTV Flash

This week Firecore released aTV Flash (back) 2.2 for the Apple TV. As Apple have added support for Bluetooth keyboards it means you can use a wireless keyboard for browsing and searching on the device. Don’t forget this is for the 2nd gen Apple TV and not the 3rd gen that is currently on sale. Also some 3rd party apps don’t work with the latest version of the Apple TV OS (5.2).

With the updated aTV Flash you also get improvements to backups, DVD playback and bug fixes.

To upgrade your Apple TV you will need Seas0nPass and aTV Flash which you can find on Firecore’s site.

The wait is over, and today we’re happy to release updated versions of aTV Flash (black) and Seas0nPass that support the recently released 5.2 (iOS 6.1) Apple TV software. Big thanks goes to the evad3rs for making much of this possible.

Hooray for Bluetooth!
To the delight of many loyal users, Apple officially added support for Bluetooth keyboards in Apple TV 5.2, and we’ve been working non-stop to provide a seamless experience in aTV Flash (black) 2.2. Now features such as web browsing, media playback, library browsing and more can all be controlled using a wireless keyboard. Don’t worry, the normal remote will still work as well.
