The Amazon Kindle app for both Android and iOS has been updated. The Android version gets the bigger set of changes with improvements for Android 4.1 and the Nexus 7 tablet as well as being able to share documents with other Android likes like Adobe Reader.

The iOS version only gets minor changes including support for Japanese.

Android changes:

3.7.0:
•Welcome Amazon.co.jp customers! Kindle for Android now supports manga books and titles with right-to-left vertical text.
•Improved support for Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and the Nexus 7 tablet.
•Send PDF, DOC, DOCX, and image files to your Kindle using the share buttons in popular Android apps like Adobe Reader, Documents to Go, ES File Explorer, and many others.
•Several bug fixes.

iOS Changes:

What’s New in Version 3.4

• New Font Choice: Caecilia
• Publisher Font: Read the book in the publisher suggested font
• Support for Japanese, including Vertical Text & Manga
