YouTube have launched a new TV friendly 10 foot interface that can be controlled from a browser or a smartphone. The UI can be controlled from a remote control and you can browse YouTube content, search for videos and view your queue.

The interesting part comes from controlling YouTube from a phone via the mobile Youtube site, you enter a pairing code and then can send videos from the phone to the TV browser. The two devices don’t need to be on the same network they connect over the internet.

It actually seems to work very well and and the connect with the phone is pretty cool. You can see this working well integrated into TVs and other devices designed for the big screen.

You can get find the TV service at youtube.com/tv and the remote via m.youtube.com
