Apple maybe getting its act together with it’s new podcast app but it looks like Google are doing the opposite. A couple of years ago Google launched Google Listen a podcast consumption app and while it was a bit limited it was a nice free option for listening to podcasts (like our own TDL Show).

I noticed today that the app is no longer listed on Google Play and after a quick search it looks like it’s not just me that can’t find it. There is no official word from Google but you should be able to download it if you have downloaded it in the past.

Hopefully Google have something better in the works for podcast and that is why the app has been pulled in the mean time I am going to continue to use BeyondPod as my app for listening to podcasts.

If you have already downloaded the app you should still be able to find it on Google Play but if you haven’t you will get a 404
