WTV support added to GoodPlayer for iOS

image

A while back I looked at GoodPlayer for iOS a video app that will play back almost any video formats and the latest 5.5 update adds support for Windows Media Center TV files (WTV) and .3ga files.

I haven’t been able to test it yet, I will try some HD recordings on it later but if it works it could mean you will not need to convert Media Center TV shows to watch them on the iPad saving a lot of time.

The app cost £1.99 from iTunes

What’s New in Version 5.5

1 Subtitle outline effects supported. GoodPlayer –>Settings –> Subtitle Setting –> Outline Color to set it. The default is off
2 Subtitle supports more fonts, such as bold fonts
3 The .rar file format decompressing supported. Upload/download rar/zip file to GoodPlayer, then go to GoodPlayer file manger(main window–>bottom left button), click the rar/zip file, select “Decompress” from the pop-up menu
4 The .wtv and .3ga file format supports added
5 FTP client improved
