Sky seem set to continue adding new features to the Sky apps. They are adding remote control features to the Sky+ iPad app so you will be able to control your Sky set top box from the iPad and manage program recordings from the app.

In the year ahead, we have a strong pipeline of innovative new products and services
planned for release. We plan to enhance the functionality of the Sky+ app to allow customers to use the iPad as a remote control for browsing the EPG, managing their Sky+ planner and selecting programmes to watch, pause, fast forward and rewind.

Sky are also adding Channel5 to its catch up services to go with it’s own content, BBC and ITV.
