During the recording of the TDL Show last night Diehard in the chat room told us about Windows Embedded Standard 8 CTP, back in November Microsoft promised a CTP of Embedded in Q1 2012 and here it is. From release notes I can’t tell if there is a Set Top Box template as there is in the Windows 7 version, I am downloading now so will report back when I have tested it.

[UPDATE: I have downloaded and installed the CTP and the Set Top Box option that was in the Windows 8 version is missing in this build, as is Media Center]
