Sky Go for Android UK coming February 22nd, only works on small set of handsets and won’t work with ICS

Sky have been promising Sky Go for Android for some time now, a couple of weeks ago they confirmed it was coming soon and today Techradar were told it’s going to be released February 22nd. That’s the good news, the bad news is that its not going to work on any Android 4.0 devices. I did a bit digging around on Sky’s forums and is going to be limited to a small selection of devices:

  • HTC Desire
  • HTC Desire S
  • HTC Desire HD
  • HTC Incredible S
  • HTC Sensation
  • Samsung Galaxy S
  • Samsung Galaxy S2

If any of the supported devices are updated to Android 4.0 they will no long work with Sky’s app neither will rooted phones, hopefully they can get ICS support sorted soon and app more device.
