Sky Go to launch on Samsung Galaxy and HTC Android devices

Sky Atlantic on Sky Go - Android

Not only have Sky added Sky Atlantic to Sky Go on iOS they are adding Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Arts 1 and the F1 channel over the next few months so Android users will be glad to know that Sky are launching on Android devices soon. In a post on Sky’s blog Holly Knill, Head of Sky Go said that Samsung Galaxy and HTC devices but haven’t said when, they also haven’t said when or if other Android devices will get the app. Windows Phone users don’t even get a mention.

Firstly, we will be making Sky Go available on a selection of Android smartphones starting with Samsung Galaxy and HTC handsets. We fully appreciate how much Android users have been looking forward to the launch of Sky Go, and we’ve done everything we can to make sure that our bespoke design for Android handsets is worth waiting for.

I think the biggest problem with Sky Go is the two device limitation, I have my laptop and my iPad allocated to the service so I can’t run it on my phone and these days we all have multiple devices so I think Sky need to look at that limitation
