As regular readers may know I am a big fan of the Raspberry Pi project not just for education but also for enthusiast and this video shows why. A developer has implemented Airplay streaming on to the little board so you can stream video from an iPad to the TV. The video demonstrates how it works and gives you an idea of the kind of thing you can do with the £26 device.

I have an interview with Eben Upton from Raspberry Pi that will be part of this weeks TDL Show, in the mean time enjoy the video

  1. very cool, how about media-centre streaming destination device?
I will be getting one to play with as soon as they start selling.

  2. Nice! Not as pretty as an ATV but will do me for adding extra AirPlay streaming locations. Where can I buy?

  3. @ Jonathan Hill. Agreed. Surely it could act as a client for Remote Potato… The only thing that it couldn’t do is stream live TV, but I guess you could set RP to record what was on live and watch that as “Recorded TV”.
