Sky have launched a new Sky Sports News app for the iPad. The previous app was an iPhone/iPad app and the new app Sky say offers a more interactive service and on-demand video and rich graphics.
The app is free and the content is free for Sky subscribers and £4.99 per month via an in-app purchase for non-subscribers, get the app form the app store

Sky Sports News has launched the Sky Sports News App foriPad, a brand new way to experience the biggest and best stories around.
The interactive service is designed specifically for iPad and features live and on-demand video content, rich graphics and up-to-the-minute data.
It is staffed by a dedicated editorial team providing in-depth coverage of all the major sports stories of the day.
Users can also watch Sky Sports News live through the app as well as tune in to Sky Sports News Radio.
“The Sky Sports News App is the latest exciting development in the evolution of Sky Sports News, which is now bigger and better than ever before,” said Andy Cairns, Executive Editor of Sky Sports News.
“We aim to be the ultimate sports news service for our customers, and thanks to this new app we can provide them with the latest sports news and in-depth coverage, wherever they happen to be.”
Sky Sports News for iPad
The app features dedicated home pages for all major sports, including football, rugby and cricket, where you can find all the major stories of the day alongside the latest fixtures, results and standings.
Other features include instant coverage of the latest breaking news as soon as the app is launched, and a Latest News panel that appears along the right hand side of screen.

The Sky Sports News App is available for free from the App Store on iPad or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
The Sky Sports News App is also available to non-Sky customers on a stand alone basis for £4.99 per month through In-App Purchase.
