Tranquil PC MMC-12 Media Center System and Barebones Systems on sale

NewImage

Today I wrote about Tranquil PC’s new MMC-12 Windows Media Center system and this afternoon they started taking orders for the barebones and complete systems. The full system comes in at £649 (normally £749) and the barebones basic system is priced at £278.00, normally £378.00.

Details of the Media Center system:

SPECIAL OFFER - for a limited period, save £100.00 on the MMC-12 – now only £649.00, normally £749.00

Created for the descerning media centre user, the MMC-12 is the ultimate in HiFi style media centres.

Cut from a single piece of aerospace grade aluminium, and then carefully hand finished to a superb soft textured satin finish – the MMC-12 exudes quality in every way.

  • Watch Live TV, pause or skip back (choose your own type and number of tuners)
  • Record / playback and schedule record TV shows
  • Playback all media files – pictures, music, videos
  • Playback CDs, DVDs, and BluRay discs (subject to disc player selected)
  • IPTV (ie BBC iPlayer included)
  • … and much more.

There are no fans or other active cooling devices to disturb you, the MMC-12 chassis cools the CPU and other chips – resulting in zero noise (even with a 2.5″ spinning HDD fitted, the MMC-12 is silent).

Ideally suited to work with a Windows Home Server (where TV Recordings and other media files are stored). If you need local mass storage, why not consider hooking up to the SU unit, it’s a perfect compliment to the MMC-12 – you can then store huge amounts of data – the SU like the MMC-12 is a beautiful design (it’s almost silent too).

Details of the Barebones System:

Bare bone version of the MMC-12 Media Centre

SPECIAL OFFER - for a limited period, save £100.00 on the MMC-12 BB – now only £278.00, normally £378.00

Created for the descerning media centre user who wants to build his own Media Centre – the MMC-12 is the ultimate in HiFi style media centres.

Cut from a single piece of aerospace grade aluminium, and then carefully hand finished to a superb soft textured satin finish – the MMC-12 exudes quality in every way.

There are no fans or other active cooling devices to disturb you, the MMC-12 chassis cools the CPU and Southbridge chips – resulting in zero noise (even with a 2.5″ spinning HDD fitted, the MMC-12 is silent).

Add your own 35W Intel 2nd Generation Core processor (choose a 35W version, ie the i5-2390T), RAM (DDR3 SODIMM) hard drive and operating system – and enjoy the beautiful silence and performance of your own Media Centre.  If you need local mass storage, why not consider hooking up to the SU unit, it’s a perfect compliment to the MMC-12

Both systems are on sale now and having seen how they are made I can say that they are well built systems!
