It looks like Intel have given up on the Smart TV Market after failing to get traction in the smart home market. Logictech’s Google TV box the Revue and Sony’s Google TV has not exactly been a success and they are powered by Intel’s Atom CE4100 chip. Intel is instead going to focus on tablets, smartphone an Ultrabooks.  Intel told Bloomberg:

“This is a business decision where we’re taking those resources and applying them to corporate priorities The company decided that engineers at its Digital Home Group should focus more on tablets, smartphones and a new category of laptops, which Intel is calling Ultrabooks”
