Elgato adds Airplay to EyeTV HD

Last year I wrote about Elgato EyeTV solution for streaming TV content to the iPad and this week that have updated the app and added Airplay support. So with 1.2.3 you will be able to stream live or recored TV from the EyeTV HD server to the iPad and then send it over to an Apple TV. Eye TV is a hardware DVB-S tuner that works with wifi to stream free to air satellite content around the home and to use it with the iPad you need $4.99 iOS app. Allthought the EyeTV works with Windows and Mac you do need the Mac version to work with Airplay

I like the idea of being able to browse TV channels on the iPad and then send them over to the Apple TV, kind of using the iPad as a smart remote control.
