MCE 7 Reset Toolbox Addin

There is a great new application to help with the maintenance of Windows Media Center. MCE 7 Reset Toolbox has a number of features to make life with Media Center a little easier, it has backup and restore features for lineup, subscriptions and schedules, the ablilty to fix Media Center’s menus and other Windows task such as System Restore and hardware uninstall. At the moment the addin is 32bit only with the 64bit version due soon.

As you can see from the screen shot the application is really nice looking as the developer has really payed attention to the look and feel of the application. The application is free and available from MadeforMediaCenter.com

Backup and Restore  Lineups, Subscriptions and Recording Schedules.
Schedule when your backups take place, daily or weekly.
Fix MC Menus.
Run MCE Recovery Tasks and other Windows tasks which include:
Run System Restore.
Uninstall hardware such as TV Tuners.
Add/Remove Windows Features.
Toggle hidden files and folders.
Update MC Guide.
More features to be added.
Not designed as a Windows Service, program will launch to the System tray on startup and work happily in the background.
Windows 7 32bit only 64bit will follow. Tested on Windows 7 and 7 SP1.

    By “Fix MC Menus” does that mean you can customise the menus, get rid of ones you dont want etc? Sounds like a great solution.

    I just tried to download the 64-bit version – about 5 times. Each time I got a 0mb-sized file. Can anybody confirm that this link works or doesn’t?
