So at long last there are updates coming through for Windows Phone 7. The first update doesn’t actually add any new features, this update is about preparing for the next update which includes Copy/Paste and improved Marketplace search.

The update is being delivered via the Zune PC software (or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac) and not over the air so don’t bother checking on your phone, plug your phone in to your PC or Mac and then you should get the update at some point.

You can read more about the update on the Windows Phone 7 blog, lets hope the Copy/Paste update is soon.

BTW I was told by a friend when buying a HD7 the salesman in the O2 store tried to put him off saying “you will not like the user interface, try these phones…” and tried to get him to look at Android phones, if that is part of a bigger picture no wonder sales of Windows Phone 7 are not steller

  1. No sign of it here yet…..

I guess it might be safer to hold off for a few days anyway – just in case MS didn’t completely sort out those update issues! 🙂
