Today at CES I had a preview of the forthcoming Boxee app for the iPad. With the app you can watch videos from your watch later list, send video to a Boxee box or Boxee app (a bit like Airplay) and via a small Boxee PC server stream content from a PC to the iPad. The PC server transcodes the video into an iPad compatible format on the fly, I saw the iPad playing MKV files via the app and it seemed to work really well. The app will be available in a couple of months and will be free.
