Just as we are struggling to integrate our Android phones and iOS devices in to our digital lifestyle along comes another device. RIM have launched a 7-inch tablet device called the BlackBerry PlayBook, which has a dual-core 1GHZ processor, HTML 5 browser, Flash, 1080p playback and two cameras. The OS is custom made built with QNX a company RIM purchased in April and from the it looks pretty slick (there is a video on their info page)

While it looks like its business focused I can see consumers being interesting in the device especially as it supports 1080p playback, WMV, Flash and HTML5.  No pricing details but the device is due early next year.

We talked about RIM and the the market position on last weeks TDL Mobile Podcast
