DVBLogic have opened up their client side API for public use. This means that 3rd party developers can use the API to integrate virtual tuners in to their own applications.  They have provided sample code and should mean you could write an app to read the parameters of the stream as well as consuming the stream, it will be interesting to see what kind of apps end up using API.  I am sure Garry will be able to talk more about it on a future edition of The Media Center Show.

This is from the DVBLogic forums where the sample code is also available

3rd party application developers can use this API to do the "warm" integration of DVBLink virtual tuners into their applications.
The API is exposed by mcconfigprovider.dll, which is installed as a part of DVBLink Server or DVBLink Network Client. The API provides only information about the channels and their tuning parameters while the stream itself is received using DVBLink virtual DVB-S BDA tuners.
The attached sample application contains API definition and shows how to use it (it is the actual working source code of MediaPortal/DVBViewer channel export utility).
The following part of API is not yet present in the sample and will be added later:
– child lock
– Default recorder
– EPG information retrieval
