I’ve held off posting this for a few days as DVBLogic have been busy tracking a couple of issues with the release but with a new patch out yesterday I think its ready for primetime:
In addition to the features already announced for the network pack hhe full V3.0 release of the DVBLink software contains a lot of new features in the TVSource package:
DVBLink TVSource v3.0 – What is new and fixed:
– Added support for additional xmltv details: full description, genre, credits, thumbnail, rating, series information etc. – Added background EPG information update for xmltv EPG source – Changed DVBLink addin user interface in MediaCenter – Removed channel synchronization wizard in MCE – EPG source, name and number of DVBLink channels can be updated after channel synchronization in MediaCenter – Made DVBLink special streams optional – Fixed hang-up of DVBLink server when stopping the service – Added channels numbers to EPG Sources tab of DVBLink Server configuration – Fixed channels numbers assignment for channels mapped to MCE Guide Services channels – Fixed several memory overwrites problems, which manifested themselves in DVBLink Server hanging – Added about box with the overview of installed products and their versions
– Added support for diseqc 1.1 (uncommited switches) – Added support for diseqc 1.2 in the form of custom diseqc sequences – Added BDA device match using system specific device path. This should prevent shifting device index when new devices are added or old ones are removed – Added parental control in MediaCenter. Parental control is activated or deactivated via DVBLink Mediacenter addin – Added retrieval of provider-assigned channel numbers during channel scan for cable and terrestrial tuners – Added support for diseqc control of Omicom tuners – Changed the algorithm of stopping stream when tuner is idle. This should fix failed channel changes and no/not all services found during scan – Changed stream buffer handling. This should decrease amount of dropped packets for certain tuner types
To upgrade from previously installed v2.x or 3.0 beta/RC run installation using the bat files. This will preserve your current system settings. If upgrading from version 2.x or beta1/2/RC1 of TVSource you will have to delete and synchronize the DVBLink channels again in MediaCenter. If you get “Program has stopped responding. You will now return to MediaCenter” message on MCE start up, you must boot to safe mode and delete mcepg*.db file in c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome\. Once booted up in normal mode again simply redo TV Setup.
All existing TVSource users can upgrade free of charge. Their existing registration information will be picked up automatically.

One thing I recall w/ Black Widows is that they came w/ an X-member frame as well. This was to cut down on torsional twist in the frame. The shit from a convertible car. I have been fascinated w/ Black Widows since i was 8 yrs old, had a guy in our car club that was a wealth of info on ’em!
