Ben Drawbaugh at Engadget HD has been digging to try and find out the status of CableCARD with Windows Embedded and he has found out from Microsoft that it will not be supported in the initial release of Windows 7 Embedded. All is not lost however Microsoft is planning to release an update later this year that will enable CableCARD (Q3 according to Microsoft)
