On last weeks show I talk to Brian Baskerville about the MCE Zone Media Center applications and yesterday Collectorz released the new Media Center version of Movie Collector the app that Brian developed for them. Here are some of the features:
New Views
Wall View:
This view fills the entire screen with movie covers then show details when you stop scrolling. 
Vertical Text View:
This view will allow you to scroll your movie titles vertically. 
Video Detail View:
When using Video View you can still see what is playing when going to the detail page. 
New Full Screen Mode
Full Screen Mode:
Go to full screen mode from Video Views by pressing the up arrow button. 
New Cover Zoom Mode
Cover Zoom Mode:
Selecting the movie cover on the detail page will zoom much larger. 
New Actor Search
Actor Search:
Search for your favorite actor using triple tap, onscreen keyboard or desktop keyboard. 
More New Features
Parental Control:
Use Media Center built-in Parental Controls settings. (US only, as it requires the use of US audience ratings G, PG-13, R, NC-17 and NR)
Page Transitions:
There are 4 new page transition effects to choose from. Rotate, Popup, Bounce, Back and Forth.
External Player Support:
PowerDVD 8, PowerDVD 9 and TotalMedia Theatre 3 are now supported. You can also play Blu-Ray and HD in Media Center with PowerDVD 9 and TotalMedia Theatre 3 MCE plugin.
Improvements:
Better handling of large databases.
Better performance and load times.
Selecting an actor on the detail page will show all the movies they are in.
Program will no longer crash when using the mouse wheel on Movie Links
Play button will immediately start playing a movie when there is only one movie linked.
Play All link will no longer show if the links contain a file that is not supported by a playlist
