I’ve just read an excellent post by Martin (the chap behind TunerFree MCE) about getting Flash onto extenders (you can’t really so don’t go there looking for that). Martin’s post is a call to arms, to start to develop a Flash transcoder. It’s a great idea, someone needs to get a community project on the go.

Welcome to Show 100!
Well, we made it! We got together ...
You already can.
All you have to do is create a custom DVRMStoolBox profile using the ffmpeg action to convert the flash to mpeg-2. You’ll need to add an ffmpeg conversion profile by editing ffmpeg.conf.
This post should help figuring out the ffmpeg settings.

I should’ve clicked through before commenting. You meant this was a call to arms for a real time flash transcoder. As apposed to downloading the file first then transcoding it.
Yes we need a realtime flash transcoder for these new Hulu add-ins and any of the other IPTV sites that are switching to flash based video content. BBC iPlayer being another example.
Vader’s the man that might be up to the job !
