Xbox Experience is here

Well folks, there you have it.  The New Xbox Experience, NXE.  If you’ve turned on your Xbox today then you’ll have a nice little update download to your console.

So what are you going to do with it now?  You could do one of these things, which would make a good start.  Setting up a little avatar is good start, here’s mine.  I’ve started copying my games to my Hard Drive too which has cut down on some of the noise from the beastie.

First impressions of the new dashboard are good, it looks really nice, and its really smooth.  I really like the consistency that’s showing up from Zune style menus across all the Microsoft products I use.  The PlayOn content still works really nicely, well at least ESPN does in the UK.  One thing we obviously care about is how the Xbox now performs as an extender, well there doesn’t seem to be any changes on there.
