HomeGroup in Windows 7

HomeGroup is a new features that is going to be great for Media Center users, there is not a lot of information out about it yet but it looks interesting . It’s a way to search and share multiple PC libraries, you can link all your Windows 7 computers together so you can share music, pictures, videos, documents and devices. You can then stream the content to Media Extenders. The HomeGroup can be protected with a password and you can control what you want to share. In the keynote today they showed “PlayTo” and options to stream music or videos from PCs to media receivers or other PCs

So with that we are not far away from Softled, pooling content from all Windows 7 machines and making it available from all machines

More info on this when I get to play with Windows 7
