So another packed day at CES. This morning I talked to Todd Headrick from the Windows Home Server team about a year of Windows Home Server and what the newly announced Windows Home Server Power Pack is all about. I talked to Ricavision about the new Sideshow remotes which look very cool but could be priced to high for the average consumer. I also got chance to look at Samsung’s Media Center Extender, which is a great slim looking Media Center Extender but looks like being dependent on 2007 or 2008 Samsung TV’s, which is a shame as we want the Extenders available to all and not just certain TV’s

I saw an interesting company called Fuze Media Systems. They have a Media Center based platform that they have added to with multi-room audio and video including Live TV on PC based Extenders. It’s aimed at Customer AV installed and it replaced some of the features of Media Center with there own UI, you can see what each Zone is watching or even sync up all the audio in the zones. I recorded a Video with Fuze that will show the concept off better.

I got a quick look at HP’s Media Smart devices, I should have more time with HP tomorrow as I love the idea of the Extender built in to the TV

Other things I liked where Samsung’s range of TVs, Sony’s OLED screens and my first look at the new Zune hardware

So the end of another busy day and tomorrow starts at 8am with an interview with the eHome team, so look out for more posts tomorrow and I will start posting the interviews soon
