Back in October last year Microsoft announced Windows Live for TV (code named Orbit , previously Nemo ), a 10 foot application for reading Windows Live Spaces, making calls and a 10 foot version of Windows Live Messenger. There was a lot of interest in the project when it was first announced and I managed to get on the beta. The project is a great idea bringing Spaces to the TV and Windows Live Messenger on Media Center is something a lot of people have wanted since Windows Messenger was left out of Vista Media Center.
Since April there have been no updates on the blog, I can’t see any changes to the application and the download page on Live.com has gone.
Has the project been abandoned or is a new update due out soon? Or has the application been rolled in to an other update?
One problem I had with the application was the fact it is a WPF (Windows Presentation Layer Application) rather than a native Media Center application so its not as seamless as you would want in Media Center but still it would be nice to know what has happened to it

Thanks for the post Ian. I was one of the unfortunate ones that only found out about Live for TV after the beta had closed and is gone from sight anywhere. I hope it pops back up somewhere as it looks like it might have been a nice add on to Media Center.
