Just discovered that I can install the latest Mesh client on WHS (I've been unable to do this with previous versions).  Coupled with the new ability to bypass the cloud (Live Desktop) and Sync machine to machine this means that I can now use LM to sync the photos on my WHS to my laptop which is very cool.

Hey Alan,

 I was/am excited about Live Mesh for the same reason... to sync files between machines and bypass the live desktop.  My problem is, I don't think it's doing that!  I am trying to sync an 11 gig pictures folder, and it's taking days over a wireless G network.  I know I can copy the files directly MUCH faster.  Am I doing something wrong?

 PS. I'll have to try installing LM on my WHS.  I didn't realize you could do that!
