Just thought I'd let people know that the backup in Windows Home Server does not work for dvr-ms (recorded TV) files. I have confirmed this from several sources including the MS WHS forums.
It seems the WHS developers thought that backing up these files would require too much space. This is bizzare given that OneCare backup gives you an explicit option to backup recorded TV files. I thought my backup ussues were sorted with WHS but now I'm having to use something else for recorded TV.
The fact that you are not given an option (even a registry change?) seems very odd to me. Still I guess the developers had their reasons...
Maybe this will get sorted in the updated version of the software?
