It has just been suggested to me to buy a Sonos Zone Player. The attractive feature is that you can sit in the garden and view your music collection/playlist and list through speakers in the garden.
However this device is expensive! I have a Vista Media Centre PC, Home Server, Linksys 2200 and a Pioneer LX70 AV receiver. The receiver does do two zone but I have to buy another second amp to power the speakers in the second zone since I am using ALL the channels in the main zone.
Does anyone have any other suggestions how to driver the second zone and tapping into the Media Player library via a wireless handheld similar to the Sonos one.
Many thanks, Richard.
how about the Ruko soundbridge? i have one in the bedroom and it streams music from my Media Center PC, you need to plug it in to an amp, I have used a oldish MIDI hifi
