As a long-time reader of JK on the run blog & RSS feeds it was a delight to see this contest from that source. But it was also good to see that so many of the other websites involved in this contest like this website thedigitallifestyle.com have an affiliation with each other. HP & BuzzCorps have created something special with this competition.
It's so nice to see a UK based I.T. multi media info source from the point of view of availability of UK hardware & software, reviews & average accessible price points.
I have imported many US & Japan only hardware (like the original Sony Vaio U50 handtop) over the years without the prospect of a UK / Euro markets release. This means your subject to excessive Tax, shipping & Vat but more frustrating is the lack of English or UK hardware / software support. I hope websites, blogs, podcasts & forum like this shows the US / Japan manu's that that there is a place "over the pond" that's well worth their effort to release their techwares, hell, if not from the point of view that as a business it makes sense to come to "rip-off Britain".
Now I've got that off my chest, I'm honestly so excited about this competition, hope you all have good fortune with it :).
