I know this isn't media center related, but I use and listen to this site and podcast a lot and value the opinions of the forum.

I was researching a problem with recording audio out and saw a solution from Ian from a couple of years ago.

When I try to record streaming audio using Freecorder 2 in Vista, it worked fine.  Now it doesn't work in Windows 7 using the same machine, sound card, etc.  When I go to control panel/sound/recording, stereo mix isn't listed either as an enabled, disabled or disconnected device. I did right click and checked all the options to make sure it wasn't there.  It just showed the two external mikes I have on other devices. Very frustrating.

On the bright side, I'm loving the new Media Center interface in 7.  Works great on my Linksys 2100s but my brother has my HP x280n.  I'll have to get that back and try it out.  Homegroup is fantastic also.
