I'm interested in My Movies for Windows Home Server but was really put off by it using three tabs on the console, especially considering that I would not be using the CD or DVD ripping facilities.

Is there an option to not install these parts of the software?

This is not a current option, simply because it would require different installers.

For the installers version we had to implement a pretty bad thing where it deleted files based on licensing, simply because it's not possible for a dll to not show, once it's installed.

I have contacted Microsoft and requested a solution, and currently they did not even have a workaround.

Thanks for the reply.

I will stick with version 2.44 client and server until the MCML version is ready.
